heres another war review
its call
Rescue Dawn
Rescue Dawn, a rating of PG13, but that doesn't mean kids who are 13 can watch. a big NO NO, Reason being, the reason is way obvious, ITS A WAR FILM! yes, why i rated it PG13, well its has a very simple story, Guy deploy to war, guy gets shot down, guy got captured, put in prison, then rescue. Its a very normal SOS or search and rescue film.
Rescue Dawn, during The Vietnam War, follows Airforce Navy pilot, Dieter Dengler who got shot down over at Laos during a top secret bombing mission, got captured by Patha Lao(communits Laosian) and later been in prison in North Vietnam, together with 5 other captives, 2 American and 2 Thais and 1 Vietnamese, together the 6 of them improvised a plan to escape, eventually they did and that was 6 months after Dieter got captured.
Rescue Dawn, based on a true story of true accounts, wasn't much of what you seen in the movies, i've did some research and found out that there are actually 6 captives before Dieter got imprisoned.
ok.. final saying
Rescue Dawn has a rating of 10/10 a perfect score!, even though its not much of a combat fighting film, but it shows a how POW live their lives in prison camps , how they break down and suffer, how they pull each other together. and yes is another bitter side of war.
But a little misleading, but in final say i would give 9/10, why? lots of true history have been either told wrongly in the story or its not even included in the movie
Do watch it, even though is a 160min film, its worth the time, atleast you guys can get to know some history that is not in your history book
